Overcoming Anxiety and Stress

You can reduce and resolve your anxiety, stress and panic attacks using Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness.

I work with people suffering from a range of anxieties, fears and stresses every day, including:

Social Anxiety:

This is more than shyness. It's an intense fear that doesn't go away and affects everyday activities.

Health Anxiety:

Fearing you have a condition/illness, Cancer, HIV, etc.

Performance Anxiety:

This is not the same as simply being nervous. It can be a debilitating condition that gets in the way of performing at one's best. In many cases, it can be challenging to make a presentation, take an exam, interview, etc.

General Anxiety Disorder (GAD):

This disorder refers to a condition whereby the sufferer is anxious about a wide range of situations rather than one specific situation or event. People with GAD feel anxious most days.

Phobias and Fears:

These irrational fears of animals, objects or situations cause a great deal of anxiety and stress for sufferers. If left untreated, these phobias become exhausting and all-consuming. In some cases, they also contribute towards depression. But I can help you deal with the phobia or fear and consequently feel less stressed and anxious.

Common phobias I treat include:

  • Animal phobias – such as dogs, spiders and snakes.
  • Environmental phobias – such as heights, deep water and germs.
  • Situational phobias – such as visiting the dentist or flying.
  • Bodily phobias – such as blood, vomit or having injections.

Overcoming Depression

Depression affects approximately 1 in 5 people in their lifetime, so if you suffer from depression, you are far from being alone.

Depression can be a truly debilitating condition that can prevent you from living anything approximating an everyday life. Suffering from depression is very different to feeling miserable or fed up.

There are, however, solutions that do not involve taking medication. And I can help you virtually or face-to-face at my clinic in Weybridge, Surrey.

Hypnotherapy can help to alleviate depression by creating new positive beliefs at a subconscious level.

This modality, when used in combination with Mindfulness techniques, can help you to disconnect from depressive thoughts, feelings and emotions - and prevent further episodes of depression from being triggered.

Mindfulness (MBCT) is a proven method for treating depression and is on the NHS (NICE) list of approved therapies. In addition, I can also use Traumatic Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR) as a means for reducing the feelings (Charge) associated with depressive thought patterns.
